CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – The Clay County Sheriff's Office is trying to identify a group of thieves believed to be family members who deputies believe are responsible for stealing a purse from a patron of a fast-food restaurant and then using the victim's credit cards.
Surveillance photos captured from the restaurant's video system show the thieves leaving the restaurant with the victim's purse concealed.

An older woman inadvertently left her purse inside the Burger King at 4319 Highway 17 in Fleming Island after meeting a friend there for lunch, deputies said. When she returned moments later to retrieve it, it was gone from the booth where she'd been sitting.
The family that had been sitting in a booth next to her is responsible for stealing it, deputies said. They said the heavyset, older white man wearing blue jeans and a blue shirt removed the victim's purse and concealed it with the help of at least one of the females prior to leaving the restaurant.
The victim's credit cards were used at two separate locations in Green Cove Springs shortly afterward, deputies said. The thief was in the company of an additional white woman about his age and a younger white male and female.
Attempts to identify any of these four thieves are ongoing. Anyone with information about their identities is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 904-264-6512.
