FBI investigates shot fired into judge's home

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Federal agents continued to investigate Monday, 36 hours after a bullet struck federal Judge Timothy Corrigan's Southside home.

A Jacksonville Sheriff's Office report says police were called to the home in the Secret Cove neighborhood at 12:38 a.m. after Corrigan and his wife heard a loud bang and found a bullet hole in their window and glass sliding door.

No one was hit by the bullet, but a puncture to a leather chair and closet, debris from the window and shrapnel on the floor.

Police with K9s searched the lakeside of the house and neighboring homes, but did not find any trail or bullet casings.

"Early Sunday morning, witnesses reported hearing what sounded like a single gunshot in the Southside area of Jacksonville," the FBI said in a statement. "FBI Jacksonville's Evidence Response Team is currently processing the scene and law enforcement is canvassing the area, looking for possible witnesses.
