Firefighters help injured baby owl

Owl taken to HAWKE facility in St. Johns County

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – Firefighters with St. Johns County Fire Rescue helped an injured baby owl on Friday morning.

A motorist on A1A found the owl on the side of a road.  That person flagged down firefighters who were on their way to work.

The firefighters wrapped the owl in a warm shirt and transported it back to Station 7.

Firefighters contacted HAWKE animal rescue in St. Johns County and took the owl to the facility for medical care.
