FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -

Fort Lauderdale firefighters had to rescue two kittens who found themselves trapped.  The kittens were entangled in the chassis of a car outside of Las Colinas Restaurant.

Firefighters heard one of the kittens in the engine area.  The other kitten was in the undercarriage.

Both of the cats were rescued unharmed and returned to their owner.

Firefighters say animals can become trapped in vehicles and drivers should tap the car hood to try and get them to escape.
