STUART, Fla. -

State wildlife officials want to attract more women to fishing.  They're offering a free seminar called "Ladies, Let's Go Fishing."

The seminar is being sponsored by Florida Fish and Wildlife Conversation Commission and the Federal Aid in Sport Fish Restoration Program.

It starts Friday and runs through Sunday.

According to a commission statement the seminar is to also promote conservation and responsible angling.

Local fishing guides will help women learn techniques, methods and ethical angler habits.
