TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -

The Florida Board of Governors is looking for people who want to oversee the University of Florida.

Each university has a board of 13 trustees. Five trustees are chosen by the statewide panel that oversees the entire university system. Six trustees are chosen by the governor.

The Board of Governors is asking for people to apply for a spot on the UF board that will be open between now and January 2015. The opening comes while UF is searching for a new president.

Applications must be sent to the Office of the Chancellor in Tallahassee or by email at Chancellor@flbog.edu.
