JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office shut down part of Kings Street in Riverside Wednesday night after flooding in the area.

Police said the area of King Street, between Park Street and Herschel, is closed due to that flooding.

There's also a pothole visible in the area that witnesses said could cause damage to cars on the road.

The closure is near Riverside Baptist Church and Lola's Burrito Joint.

A News4Jax producer who lives in the area sent photos of the street closure into the newsroom Wednesday night (below).

Deputies have not said how long the road will remain closed.
