TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Former Florida State University quarterback De'Andre Johnson will go to trial months after he was accused of hitting a woman at a nightclub, according to the Tallahassee Democrat.
A hearing was held Monday morning in Leon County court to discuss a plea deal. Both sides failed to agree on where he would complete a 10-day sheriff's work program, the Tallahassee Democrat reported.

As part of the plea deal, Johnson would have also paid court fees and restitution to the victim.
Police said Johnson, a First Coast High School graduate, was seen on surveillance camera hitting a 21-year-old woman at a Tallahassee nightclub on June 24.

Johnson spoke on Good Morning America, saying he should have walked away that night.
His attorney is Jose Baez, who is well known as Casey Anthony's former attorney. Baez said during Monday's court hearing, both sides had a conference call with a Mississippi sheriff, who indicated all requirements the state attorney wanted Johnson to fulfill in the program would be met, according to the Tallahassee Democrat.
However, the state didn't budge, according to the Democrat.
Johnson was kicked off the Seminoles football team after video of the nightclub incident emerged.
He enrolled at East Mississippi Community College in August to continue his college football career, but was not playing for the school this season, the Democrat reported.
Jury selection is scheduled for December 11 and trial will begin December 14.
