JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

The Jaguars and InstaRamp are hosting a free shredding event at EverBank Field on Thursday. If you need to get rid of personal documents, you can do it securely at this event from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Lot J.

Shred for Good is providing this one-day free service for residents and small business owners as a part of a public awareness campaign. The recent data breaches at companies like Target, Michael's, Neiman Marcus and others should act as a reminder to people about the importance of protecting their personal financial information.

Documents shredded today will be transported to Shred for Good's facility in Green Cove Springs for secure destruction.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., local professional skateboarder Mike Peterson and other local skateboarders will be on hand demonstrating their "shreadability."

Jaxson de Ville will also be there, entertaining the crowds from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Prohibited Items:

  1. CDs
  2. DVDs
  3. Hard drives
  4. Binder Clips
  5. X-ray
  6. Film
