Ga. man indicted in child porn charges

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 45-year-old Georgia man has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Jacksonville on child pornography charges.

John Stevenson is charged with two counts of receiving child pornography over the Internet. He faces five to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Stevenson was arrested in Rincon, Ga., on June 21. He remains in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service pending a detention hearing on July 11 at the U.S. Courthouse in Jacksonville.

According to the indictment, on two separate occasions, Stevenson knowingly received visual depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct via the Internet.
