Ga. participating in DUI campain
Georgia is taking part in a DUI campaign aimed at catching motorists driving under the influence.
The 23rd annual "Hands Across the Border" campaign kicked off Sunday and lasts for six days.
Other states taking part in the campaign include Florida, South Carolina, Alabama, North Carolina and Tennessee. Each state follows the same blood alcohol limit of .08.
As part of the campaign there are checkpoints near the state borders. Police, sheriff deputies and state troopers will be set up at these markers. They're looking for anyone driving under the influence. Also authorities are on the lookout for drug offenders, fugitives, drivers with outstanding warrants and drivers who are driving without a license.
