JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Only one westbound lane remains closed and all other lanes of Normandy Boulevard are open between State Road 23 and Nathan Hale Road about 27 hours after a gas leak forced the road closed.
The first report of a gas leak in the area of Normandy at New World Avenue came before noon Thursday when the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office closed the intersection because of reports of a gas leak.

All southbound lanes of New World Road remained closed Friday afternoon, and one northbound lane was open.
