"Teachers are entrusted with the care of our young people with the expectation that they adhere to the highest standards of conduct," district spokesman Jim Weidhaas said in a statement. "As a school district, we will always do our best to hire only the best and most upstanding educators. As disheartening and disturbing as this situation is, it is pertinent to note that at this point there is no evidence indicating that anything took place at school. Our hearts go out to the children and families involved."
