MIAMI, Fla. -

Environmental advocates are asking that a federal judge reopen a case on repairs to a crumbling sewer system.  The case is against the Miami-Dade County and the U.S. government.

Earlier in the month a federal judge approved an agreement.  The group wasn't happy with the agreement on repairs the EPA and the state's Department of Environmental Protection agreed upon.

The group stated the agreement didn't protect against climate changes and wants sea level rise to be accounted for in the plan.

According to the federal government's attorneys, only specific repairs were proposed for the plan.

The plan for repairs has been approved for $1.6 billion.
