A Houston mom got tired of her kids ignoring her phone calls, so she took action and created an app to solve the problem.

Houstonian Sharon Standifird invented the smartphone app Ignore No More. It took a few months to develop and is now up and running.

Here's how it works: When your kids ignore your calls and texts, parents can lock their child's cell phone.

The app lets parents plug in a password that automatically shuts down the cell phone.

Don't worry, the phone still lets your child dial 911 in case of an emergency, but they can't text, access the internet or play games.

Then comes the message, "INM (Ignore No More) Your Cell Phone Is Locked -- Call Mom."

The app also reportedly also allows parents to create a list of selected contacts once the phone is locked. The child would then be allowed to call someone on that list so they can get the password to unlock the phone.

The app is only available right now for Android smartphones.
