WINTER PARK, Fla. -

The driver of a car that was hit by an SUV, and then crashed into a day care center, has tested negative for driving under the influence.

The Florida Highway Patrol said Thursday that 61-year-old Albert Dean Campbell had no alcohol or drugs in his system. Campbell isn't charged in the incident.

The FHP is still investigating last week's crash.

An FHP report released Wednesday says Campbell was preparing to turn right onto the private drive of a KinderCare when a Dodge Durango driven by Robert Corchado rear-ended the car. The impact propelled the car through the parking lot and into the building.

A 4-year-old girl was killed. Fourteen people were injured.

Corchado is charged with fleeing the scene of a fatal crash. He's in jail with bail set at $100,000.
