COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. – A Columbia County man was arrested last month after deputies said he was involved in a scheme in which he possibly stole more than $200,000 in equipment from a company he worked for.
Jerami Robinson was arrested Sept. 16 on fraud and theft charges.

Detectives said an investigation was started after management of Anderson Columbia notified the Columbia County Sheriff's Office that they were seeing inconsistencies in the company's invoices.
An inquiry by staff of Anderson Columbia showed items ordered by IT manager Robinson did not match the
invoices given to the company for approval, deputies said. They said the investigation showed that several iPads and other computer equipment were ordered, but the company did not receive nor have on its inventory.
Anderson Columbia believes this investigation could reveal the thefts to total more than $200,000. That
information led to Robinson's arrest, but the investigation continued.
Deputies said some of the stolen items were found to have been sold from online auction sites. Also, stolen items were found locally that were purchased from Hankins Computers in Lake City, deputies said.
On Thursday, two search warrants were served simultaneously, one at Hankins Computers and one at Robinson's home. Deputies said stolen property was seized, along with property used to commit fraudulent activities.
Deputies said the investigation is ongoing and further arrests are pending.
