Jacksonville man, 47, wins $1M scratch-off prize

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – A 47-year-old Jacksonville man has claimed a $1 million prize in the $1,000,000 Season's Greetings scratch-off game at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.

Spencer Christopher celebrated his upcoming birthday with a one-time, lump-sum payment of $679,278.26.

Christopher purchased his winning ticket from Racetrac at 7801 Normandy Blvd. in Jacksonville. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

The $10 scratch-off game is one of five themed scratch-off games the lottery launched in October. The game features more than $30 million in total cash prizes, is available in three different colors, and has overall odds of winning of one-in-3.41.
