JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Jacksonville Electric Authority crews are working to restore power in the Ortega Hills area after a car crashed into a power pole Friday morning.

Just before 6 a.m. JEA crews were called to Collins Road at Pineverde Lane after reports of a downed power pole.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, a crash occurred where a vehicle hit a power pole, causing it to knock out power for less than 50 JEA customers in the Collins Lake Estates community.

JSO said injuries were reported after the crash.

Westbound lanes of Collins Road are closed at Pineverde Lane while JEA crews work to fix the power pole and JSO clears the crash.

JEA estimates power to be restored before 10:30 a.m.
