Baby critically injured in hit-and-run crash

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Investigators with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office say a 4-month-old child has life-threatening injuries after a hit-and-run crash on Stockton Street just before 10 p.m. Saturday.

Police say the other vehicle ran a red light, turning into the path of a car with the baby sitting in her mother's lap in the front passenger seat.  The infant was transported to UF Health, as were other occupants in the car who were reported to have minor injuries.
