JTA, Greyhound still planning combined bus station

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Transportation Authority and the Greyhound bus company are still talking about plans to build a new, combined bus station in downtown Jacksonville.

The two sides met earlier this month and decided to spend the next 60 days working on a plan to coordinate and speed up the construction of the new station.

In addition to JTA and Greyhound buses, the station would serve the Skyway and could handle passenger trains in the future.

It would be located near the Prime Osborn Convention Center.

Currently, the Greyhound station is on Pearl Street and the main JTA station is at Union and Hogan streets.
