JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Officers are searching for the person or people responsible for shooting a juvenile Sunday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Around 7:45 a.m. Sunday, police responded to 3000 Moncrief Road on the Northside in reference to a shooting.

Officers located a juvenile that was shot. He was taken to UF Health, according to JSO.

Officers found shell casings in the road but it's not known at this time if this was a drive-by shooting.

Officers said a vehicle was located at the scene but it's unknown what role it played in the shooting.

JSO said they are looking for a white Impala or Crown Victoria that had two occupants who were involved with this shooting.

Anyone with information relating to this shooting can call JSO at 904-630-0500.
