JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

All northbound lanes of Lem Turner Road at Interstate 295 in Northwest Jacksonville reopened late Monday afternoon, about five hours after a dump truck overturned.

The crash happened just after noon.

Police said the truck carrying potash was coming off an exit ramp and likely took the turn to fast.

"As he got onto Lem Turner Road, the truck flipped with his cargo inside," Lt. Rob Schoonover said.

He said the driver was taken to a hospital, but his injuries were not serious.

Schoonover said it would take "a while" to clean up the road. He said crews needed to make sure there was no biohazard before cleaning the potash.
