Daniel Hudson, the boy’s dad, took the baby to the hospital where doctors detected several injuries which he did not survive, according to police.

Despite Hudson’s claims, medical examiners later found out that blunt force trauma to the head caused the boy’s death.

The investigation led to Hudson’s arrest on Thursday at Southeast Georgia Health Systems in Brunswick.

Hudson is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, first-degree cruelty to children and murder.

Hudson is now under the custody of the Glynn County Sheriff’s Department.
