JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A 22-year-old Jacksonville man was convicted this week of attempted second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a juvenile delinquent found to have committed a felony act.

In September 2012, Kyle Walker went to visit the victim at his apartment. Walker then pulled out a gun and demanded money from the victim.

After the victim advised that he didn't have any, Walker continued to demand money and threaten the victim.

Walker then shot the victim in the face before fleeing. The victim later recovered from his injuries.

Walker now faces up to 45 years in prison with a 25-year minimum mandatory. He will be sentenced the week of June 16.
