A 25-year-old Jacksonville man was sentenced Wednesday to two life terms for the 2012 murder of a 19-year-old man.

In June, Justin Footman was found guilty of first-degree murder and armed robbery in the killing of Tommy McDowell Jr.

In December 2012, Footman and his two co-defendants met and planned to rob McDowell's cousin of some marijuana.

When Footman arrived at the cousin's home, he pulled out a gun and shot McDowell in the chest. Footman then took the drugs and fled the area.
