JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A jury found a 25-year-old Jacksonville man guilty as charged Wednesday evening for his involvement in the 2012 shooting death of a 19-year-old man.

Justin Footman was convicted on charges of first-degree murder and armed robbery for killing Tommy McDowell Jr.

In December 2012, Footman and his two co-defendants met and planned to rob McDowell's cousin of some marijuana.

When Footman arrived at the cousin's home, he pulled out a gun and shot McDowell in the chest. Footman then took the drugs and fled the area.

Footman faces life in prison. He will be sentenced the week of July 28.
