A 28-year-old Jacksonville man was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison, with a 50-year minimum mandatory, for the 2012 shooting death of another man.

Richard Person III was convicted in May of first-degree murder for killing Antonio Mosley.

In July 2012, Mosley and his girlfriend were at their apartment when Person and his three co-defendants went to the home and told Mosley to come outside.

Person and Mosley had a verbal confrontation, prompting Mosley to walk away. Mosley was then shot multiple times.
