A 42-year-old Jacksonville man was convicted of second-degree murder Thursday in the stabbing death of another man last year.

Charles Reeder III was found guilty of killing 57-year-old Earl Griffin.

In February 2013, officers found Griffin, lying on the ground behind a Beach Boulevard laundromat. The investigation revealed that Reeder and Griffin were together behind the business when Reeder repeatedly stabbed Griffin.

Reeder faces life in prison. He will be sentenced the week of Sept. 29.
