Robert Vickers

BRUNSWICK, Ga. -

A 32-year-old Georgia man has been charged in connection with a 2007 incident in a Winn-Dixie parking lot in Brunswick.

Robert Vickers, of Midway, was charged May 6 with three counts of criminal attempt to commit kidnapping and one count of terroristic threats for the incident at the store at 4404 Altama Ave.

Brunswick police said following a major upgrade to the Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System maintained by the FBI, a print obtained from the victim's vehicle at the time of the incident was re-entered into the system by investigators, with Vickers returned as a possible suspect.

Police said Vickers was later arrested.

He is currently incarcerated on an unrelated murder charge that occurred in February of this year in Wayne County.
