Man convicted in 1992 armed sexual assault

Kenneth Bicking, 53, faces life in prison

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was convicted Thursday after a follow-up investigation from a 1992 armed sexual assault.

The State Attorney's Office said Kenneth Alfred Bicking, 53, was armed when he went into a female's home in April 1992 without permission. He tied the victim up, put duct tape over her mouth and eyes, and sexually assaulted her.

The State Attorney's Office said during a follow-up investigation that took place in 2011, DNA swabs from the original investigation were resubmitted. That test found that Bicking's DNA matched the DNA recovered from the victim after the crime.

Bicking was found guilty of armed sexual battery and kidnapping with a weapon. He will be sentenced at a later date, where he faces up to life in prison.
