JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man is in critical condition after crashing his motorcycle Saturday afternoon on Interstate 295 at J. Turner Butler Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said John Engster, 59, was riding a 2003 Harley-Davidson at 5:50 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve on the entrance ramp to JTB.

Engster traveled off the left side of the roadway into the grass apex between the entrance ramp and I-295 southbound.
Engster was taken to UF Health Jacksonville with life-threatening injuries.
