GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. -

A man was fatally stabbed by his roommate Friday night, according to the Clay County Sheriff's Office.

Mary Justino with the Sheriff's Office says the stabbing happened around 10:45 p.m. Friday night in a camper on Hidden Waters Drive West.

The Sheriff's Office says 29-year-old William Hutchinson (above) stabbed 26-year-old Brandon Blansit after an argument inside the camper.

The two mean are roommates in the camper, which is owned by the parents of Hutchinson.

Hutchinson's mother overheard a loud argument from her home, which is on the same property as the camper.

She went to the camper to intervene but was unsuccessful and called 911, Justino said.

Blansit was stabbed multiple times and died at the scene.

Hutchinson is now in the Clay County Jail and charged with second-degree murder.
