PALATKA, Fla. – A 49-year-old Palatka man was convicted Friday of three counts of sexual battery of a minor 12 to 18 years old by a person in custodial authority.
Clayton Tucker was found guilty of three first-degree felonies after a two-day trial. The jury deliberated for less than an hour.

Prosecutors said because the jury found that penetration occurred on all three counts, Tucker can be sentenced to life in prison.
The victim was 14 years old.
While the girl slept, Tucker entered the bedroom and sexually battered her between January and September 2011.
A sentencing hearing will be scheduled for Tucker at a later date.
