Man injured in Clay County hit-and-run

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a possible hit-and-run in Clay County that left David Miller 24-years-old in critical condition.

According to police the Clay County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call stating someone was laying in the roadway on County Road 220 just west of College Drive. According to the report a man in a McDonald's drive through noticed a person laying in the roadway.

Upon arrival police located the person laying in the eastbound lanes of C.R. 220, after being hit by an unknown vehicle.

Florida Highway Patrol is asking anyone who may have witnessed this accident to call the FHP Office at 904-301-3700.

At last check the man was still listed in critical condition at UF Health in Jacksonville.
