Man, pregnant woman killed in 3 vehicle crash

FHP says passing vehicle started chain-reaction crash in Columbia County

LAKE CITY, Fla. – A young couple died Friday afternoon when they were ejected from a Smart car after it was struck by a Chevrolet Camaro, then a Chevrolet Cavalier on U.S. Highway 441, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers say the southbound Camaro was in the southbound lane passing a line of slow traffic near the intersection of Catherine Road about 1 p.m. when the driver saw a car turn south onto U.S. 441.  The driver of the Camaro - David Lee Huckaba, 29, of Lake City -- swerved back into the southbound lane, where he struck the right rear of Smart car that was turning onto 441.  The smaller car was pushed into the northbound lane, where it was struck on the right side by the third vehicle.
