JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Jacksonville man has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for using a child to produce child pornography.
James Daniel Kasper, 29, has been in custody of the United States Marshals Service since his arrest on March 20, 2013, in Jacksonville.

After law enforcement officers arrested a registered sex offender in Tennessee on child porn charges, investigators determined through that man's emails that Kasper had uploaded images of child porn and sent them to others.
During an execution of a search warrant by the FBI agents and other law enforcement officers at Kasper's apartment, agents seized a computer and a thumb drive. That thumb drive contained at least 49 images of child porn produced by Kasper.
Kasper told officials during an interview that among other things, he had used his phone to produce sexually explicit photos of a 9-year-old child that he was babysitting. After taking those photos, Kasper put them on the internet and sent them to others via email.
Evidence from Kasper's emails were introduced during the sentence hearing, and showed that he had traded the images over the Internet.
In one particular email, Kasper stated that two of the pornographic images he produced of the victim child were "just a sample of my own work."
Upon completion of his prison sentence, Kasper has been ordered to serve a 20-year term of supervised released and to register as a sex offender.
