Man sentenced to life in 2011 murder

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -

A St. Johns County man convicted last week for killing a man in the parking lot of a St. Augustine pub in September 2011 was sentenced Tuesday to life in prison.

Christopher Fries was found guilty of first-degree murder with a firearm, according to the State Attorney's Office in St. Johns County.

A St. Johns County jury deliberated for an hour and a half before finding Fries guilty as charged in the death of Paul Crookshank.
