JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Police are trying to figure out how and why a man shot himself in the stomach early Thursday morning in the University Park area of Arlington.

Around 4:30 a.m. officers with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office were notified that a man was at Memorial Hospital with gunshot wounds.

When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound to his stomach.
