JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was shot in the face in East Arlington late Saturday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Dispatchers received a 911 call shortly after 10 p.m. from a man who said he'd been shot. He was being transported to the hospital in a personal vehicle.

Someone else was in the car with him and took him to the emergency room, but left before police could speak to that person.
The victim's condition was not known.
Officers received information that the shooting occurred on Homard Boulevard North, which is near Monument Road and St. Johns Bluff Road.
Detectives from the JSO Violent Crimes Task Force were called to the area to investigate.
