Man shot in leg after domestic dispute

Man's injuries non life-threatening, no suspect information released

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are investigating an aggravated battery case after a man was shot in the leg in the Allendale area early Monday morning.

Around 3:30 a.m. the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was called to North Allendale Circle in reference to a domestic dispute involving gun fire.  When police arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound to his right leg.

According to police, the man said he was involved in a domestic dispute which resulted in him getting shot in the leg.

The victim was transported to UF Health by Jacksonville Fire and Rescue and is expected to be OK.

No other injuries were reported.

JSO's Violent Crimes Task Force was notified and are responding to conduct an investigation.

No details have been released on the shooter, but police are talking to all parties involved.
