A suspect who was wanted on two counts of aggravated assault and one count of shooting or throwing deadly missiles was arrested Friday afternoon at a Northwest Jacksonville home.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office SWAT was called to the home in the 7800 block of Morris Avenue after police said they received a call from Crime Stoppers notifying them of an anonymous tip received about 1:30 p.m. concerning the whereabouts of the suspect.

Police said the suspect was considered armed and dangerous.

They said as the SWAT team and hostage negotiators were setting up, the suspect voluntarily surrendered to police.

Police did not immediately release any further information regarding what case the suspect was being sought in connection with.
