JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A 65-year-old motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was hit by a truck in an accident Friday on the south side.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said it happened just before 6 p.m. Friday on Beach Boulevard.

Authorities said the driver of a white truck pulled out of a business on Beach Boulevard and didn't see the motorcyclist before they collided.

JSO said there was a POW-MIA flag attached to the motorcycle. They didn't identify either of the people involved.
