Motorcyclist in critical condition after crash

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Police are investigating a motorcycle crash with reported injuries Saturday night on Westside Jacksonville.

Officials said police were sent to Dignan Street and Morgan Avenue at about 8:45 p.m.

According to investigators, a car was traveling west on Dignan Street, slowing to make a left turn onto Morgan Avenue as a motorcycle traveling east of Dignan approached the intersection of Morgan Avenue.

Police said the cyclist hit the right side of the car and the rider was thrown from his motorcycle.

Rescue transported the motorcycle driver to UF Health in critical condition. The driver of the car reported minor injuries at the scene but there were no other passengers or persons involved.
