JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A home in Normandy caught fire and fire crews were called to the scene around 10 a.m. Saturday.  The fire happened at a house in the 107000-block of Normandy Blvd.

More than an hour later, fire crews were still on the scene.

Neighbors and firefighters with the Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Department say the home appears to be vacant.

"It took us about 15 to 20 minutes to knock it down," said Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Department District Chief Jack Griggs.

Griggs said no one was hurt and the home was not occupied at the time of the fire.  Griggs said there was extensive damage to the home and that the home was totally destroyed.

The state fire marshal is now investigating the cause.
