Painting with a Twist

Holiday painting class to help teenagers battling cancer

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Channel 4's Crystal Moyer has never taken a painting class.  She does not consider herself an artist.  But, she painted a masterpiece in under an hour, this morning on The Morning Show.

Geri Bernard, owner of Painting With A Twist Jacksonville, taught Moyer how to paint a beautiful picture of a Christmas tree on canvas.  I snapped pictures of her when she started and as she progressed from a blank canvas to an impressive holiday painting.

Painting With A Twist offers classes for children and adults.  Adults can bring their own beverage, snack tables are also available for anyone who would like to bring food with them to the studio.  Each adult session lasts between 2-3 hours.

This Sunday, December 8th from 2-4pm Painting With A Twist is hosting an event benefiting Live For Today.  It's a local nonprofit organization that helps young adults with cancer.

The programs offered by Live For Today create adventure, encourage new experiences, uplift through support, and inspire a healthy lifestyle for teenagers fighting for their lives.

Sunday's event will take place at Painting With A Twist's studio in San Marco.  They are located at 1525 San Marco Boulevard in Jacksonville.  Cost is $35 per guest and each participant will paint a "Starry Oak" painting to take home.  50% of the event sales will benefit Live For Today.
