Palatka man charged with robbing 2 Kangaroo stores

PALATKA, Fla. – A joint investigation by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office and the Palatka Police Department into two convenience store robberies last Friday led to the arrest of a Palatka man on two counts of armed robbery.

The Kangaroo Food Stores at 1205 State Road 19 and Crill Avenue in the West Gate Plaza were both robbed on December 6.  According to the Sheriff's Office, Clydven Terrance Jackson, 24, was identified in the surveillance video obtained at the Crill Avenue location by family members, who saw the video on the agency's Facebook pages.

After Jackson was located Tuesday and interviewed by detectives, he was arrested and booked into the Putnam County Jail and ordered held without bond.

Investigators are currently identifying the second individual involved in the robberies and an additional arrest is expected.
