Palm Coast man claims $500K Mega Money jackpot

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – A Palm Coast has claimed the June 21 Mega Money jackpot of $500,000 at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee, the Florida Lottery announced.

Jesse Maxey Jr. chose the one-time, lump-sum payment option for his winnings in the amount of $389,786.32.

The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased at Publix, located at 414 Beach Village Drive in Flagler Beach. The retailer received a bonus commission of $1,000 for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.

The ticket was the second jackpot-winning Mega Money ticket sold in Flagler County since 2004. Total ticket sales from the drawing generated more than $266,000 to the Education Enhancement Trust Fund.

The next Mega Money drawing will be held at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday.
