Pass his pension plan or the Mayor will kill this dog

The Mayor is leaving out major things in his submitted budget (Described by Councilmembers as stunningly 'incompetent') in order to coerce the council into passing his privately negotiated pension suggestion.

In the meantime, in addition to shutting down libraries and not paving the roads, received a letter from a volunteer at the animal shelter explaining what will happen to animals in our shelters if the Mayor's pension plan passes.

Believe it or not, Jacksonville is actually gaining national recognition for our efforts in creating shelters and outlining strategies that are "no-kill." So much so that a major animal protection agency "No More Homeless Pets" is holding their national conference in Jacksonville on October 13, 2013.
