ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A St. Johns County sergeant was stopped in the southbound lane of State Road 13 on Sunday when car hit the back of his patrol car.
The deputy listed in the report is 48-year-old Sgt. Glenn Lappe. The driver of the Toyota Camry was 24-year-old Priscilla Gipson.

The driver of the Camry applied the brakes and slid into the back of the 2009 Chevy Impala driven by the sergeant.
The reason for the crash is still unknown. Both drivers were taken to Memorial Medical Center on Race Track Road, where they were treated and released.
The crash still remains under investigation.
